Trail description
Small cave
The hike pretty easy, just follow the trail map. Enter the cave and look right for the shrine. If you go straight in for a few metres, you see light at the other end. You can climb out on top of the cave from here. Be watchful of the thorny plants while climbing out. Retrace this climb to go back down into the cave. Donโt try to jump off the top, because thatโs risky. You donโt want an injured ankle at this spot.
Climbing out on top of the cave is optional. Make a call based on how comfortable you feel climbing up the cave hole.
[A video in the small cave โ]. This cave can fit 10-odd people if they're all crouching.
Hike to the big cave
Hike to the big cave is slighty tricky. But it's well worth the effort! From the small cave your start going northwest up the rock. This section is a bit steep. You continue on and wade through some grass.
You just keep following the trail map, because you won't see the cave until you're very close to it.
The space in the cave is huge and a good place to chill on a hot day.
๐บ๏ธ Season
Any. In wet season be careful of patches of water on the rock. Try to stay on dry rock as much as possible.
๐๏ธ Permit
No permit required.
๐พ Wildlife
๐ Elephants are active here sometimes. So avoid going in the dark. Exit before it gets dark.
If you see locals while going, mention to them that you're going to the hill and ask for recent elephant activity.
I have seen a lot of elephant dung here, but never spotted or heard an elephant. They are more active during the harvest season.
Cleanliness
Clean for the most part.
Crowd
Only known to the locals mostly.
