Overview

An easy-moderate hike with a mix of open rock slabs, patches of forest and canyon-y bits at the hilltop. It has great views of the surrounding forests, lakes and farms.

And there's a beautiful lake very close to this hill. Monsoon Mirror Lake.

Trail description

The trail starts from a mud road leading to a farm. You start going up and through a few farms (avoid trampling crop) and then onto an open rock slab.

The hilltop is visible from here and as you move towards it veers to the left and then goes through a patch of forest.

The whole trail alternates between open rock slab and patches of forest, until you reach the near the top of the hill.

Near the top you can move around a bit an get a view of the surrounding farms, forest and hills.

🌦️ Season

Any season. Best time is monsoon, i.e. June-October.

Other times of the year should be fine too, but since it will be hot carry plenty of water and plan to start early in the morning.

🎟️ Permit

No permit required

🐾 Wildlife

We did not notice signs of any wildlife to get worried about. But there could be a visting bear or two.

Be wary of snakes when doing through tall grass. Stomp your feet so the snakes will move away. The people following the leader should ideally stick to the trail the leader followed since the snakes would have moved away from the leader's trail already.

Don't hike here in the dark. Start only after sunrise.

Cleanliness

Very clean. Almost no signs of trash. It looks like even the locals don't up this hill very often.
