Cascading Vista Trail
Chikkaballapur
Overview
A lovely trail with multiple well-shaded forest patches, green even in peak summer. The waterfall is obviously active only in the wet season (haven't seen it actively flowing yet). If you wish to go all the way to the top, come well-prepared - the hike to the top is moderately challenging.
Note: Planning to go here again once it starts raining. Looking at the streams and smooth rock there's definitely some water coming down this side. Just need to enjoy it in person during the wet season.

🌦️ Season
Any season. Summers will be challenging. So you can turn back at one of the forest patches.
During and after the monsoons, there will be water flowing down along the rock slabs which will make the trail slippery in parts. So be careful and avoid wet, black patches.
🎟️ Permit
This is inside a reserve forest so officially not allowed to hike here.
But you're unlikely to run into forest officials preventing entry. That said, there might be a small chance of getting restricted from entering.
🐾 Wildlife
⚠️ Saw signs of bear. So don't venture here in the dark. Avoid night, dawn, dusk and cloudy days.
Trail conditions
The trail after the forested patch below the "waterfall" is steep. And if you're planning to go all the way to the top, you will have to walk back in reverse to get to a point easy enough.
Lake
There's a nice lake at the beginning of the trail!
